Q: How do I place an Order?
A: Click on the order tab and that will tell you everything you need to know.
Q: Do you ship your Cupcakes?
A: Unfortunately we do not. Cupcakes are best served fresh and in order to ship
them we would have to freeze them first. In addition; we do not use shortening in our
frosting, without that the texture is softer and the frosting would not hold its shape
during transport therefore resulting in some not so fashionable cupcakes.
Q: Do I have to refrigerate my cupcakes when I take them home?
A: You do not need to refrigerate the cupcakes; the more air that cake is given the dryer it becomes. Our cupcakes are served best at room temperature. You may keep them unrefrigerated in the container until served.
Q: Why is there a limit on ordering cupcakes in the store?
A: We are a “small bakery” and we bake all of our cupcakes in our shop kitchen in small batches throughout the day. We do not have a commercial kitchen and do not mass produce our cupcakes. We would like to be able to accommodate all of our walk in customers so if you would like more than 24, please place your order in advance and we will be happy to accommodate you with any amount that you would like.
Q: I am getting married and would like to know about cupcakes for my wedding?
A: Please give us a call and we will schedule a complimentary wedding tasting with one of our cupcake consultants. We can discuss flavors, décor, setup, and everything you need to know for your special day.
Q: Didn’t you used to be in Bellevue Square?
A: Yes; New York Cupcakes was located in Bellevue Square “once upon a time” under different ownership. We are now under new ownership and we have made some very “sweet “changes to make it our own.
Q: Are you from New York?
A: I would love to say yes because I love New York however; the answer is no. The name pays homage to the re-birth place of the cupcake (The Magnolia Bakery in New York City.) After they re-introduced these sweet little treats all of the bakeries in New York City soon followed, as did we…only in Bellevue Washington!
Q: Can I place an order on line?
A: Not at this time; but please feel free to stop by the shop or give us a call and we would be happy to place your order.
Q: Can I order custom cupcakes for my event?
A: Of course; we have a decorator that would love to customize your cupcakes! All you need to do is set up an appointment or contact the shop to speak with her directly.
Q: What if I pick up my cupcakes and they are not what I expected?
A: Please let us know and we will be happy to fix them.
Q: What is the Pure Bliss?
A: White cake, white buttercream and white chocolate curls!
Q: Do you have Gluten Free, Sugar Free or Vegan Cupcakes?
A: Yes we do have Gluten Free cupcakes available on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Saturday’s, unfortunately we do not have future plans for vegan or sugar free cupcakes.
Q: What do you do with the cupcakes you do not sell?
A: The cupcakes that do not sell that day are packaged and sold for half price the next day and or donated to Hope Link in Bellevue.
